Inclusion of persons with visual impairments in the experience of art

Off Stream participated in the event “Periegesis – Accessibility of deaf and hard of hearing people in cultural spaces” held by “CHALLEDU- inclusion | games | education”.
Aim of the event was to open a fruitful discussion on the matter of equal access of people with sensory disabilities to cultural spaces with presentations from the speakers: Stevi Theodosiou, Sociologist & Project Manager of Challedu, Theodoros Rikkou, MA & Director of Pefkis’ Special Primary School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Hara Kanari, Museum Educator, Special Education Educator and Assistant Professor at AUTH, and Stela Anastasaki, Art Historian and co-founder of Off Stream.
During the event, the results, the educational material and the digital serious game created in the framework of the Periegesis project were also showcased.
