Multisensory Approaches to Inclusion in Culture and Education

On Wednesday, November 30th 2022, Christina Vlachou and Stela Anastasaki gave a lecture in the framework of the course “Cultural Heritage and Applications for Accessibility and Inclusion” by Ms Chara Kanari, Assistant Professor of Museum Education at the Department of Sciences of Early Childhood Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The lecture included a presentation of the methodology applied by Off Stream regarding the inclusion of persons with visual impairment along with selected examples of projects.
The lecture was accompanied by exercises designed specifically for the students of the department. The main goal of the exercises was to inspire a different approach focusing on the engagement of the senses as a tool and best practice that can be applied in the field of education (formal, non-formal and informal) with the aim of including as many people as possible in the experience of culture and education.
