Accessibility in the exhibition “Memory in Stone”

Archeological Museum of Thessaloniki

A white sign with Braille and standard text placed between two ancient sarcophagi.

As part of the exhibition Memory in Stone at the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, we undertook the transcription of the exhibition texts into Greek and English Braille code, contributing to improved accessibility for visually impaired visitors.

Additionally, we designed and produced tactile Braille plaques featuring these texts, which were placed alongside the standard exhibition texts, ensuring an inclusive experience for all visitors. Since the exhibition is located outdoors, the plaques were crafted from durable materials specifically chosen to withstand weather conditions and the passage of time.

This initiative aligns with our commitment to creating inclusive cultural spaces, where knowledge, art, and history can be experienced by everyone.
