Creative Audio Description
Afroditi Tziletta’s work “Anatomy of a Paradox” presents the skeletal structure of a wing, suspended by a barely visible fishing line, light and fragile, poised between nature and construction. It is composed of four thin, flexible branches tied together. Within the spaces between the branches are integrated painted canvases, fabrics and knitted forms, as well as woven elements sewn together, either by hand or with a sewing machine, composing a body balanced between the organic and the artificial. A key feature of the work is its color palette, which evokes hues of dawn and dusk. Beginning on the left with cool blues and greens, it transitions toward the right into warm, joyful yellows, oranges and pinks.
This chromatic gradient suggests a state of continuous transformation. The artist experiments with textures ranging from coarse to satin-smooth, while natural materials such as wood contrast with the rhythmic, mechanical movement of the sewing machine. Here, walking becomes an exercise of observation and dialogue with the materials of the world. Through stitching, connection and chromatic transition, the work explores the relationship between the body and the natural environment as a process of balance, discovery and transformation.
