Discovering the Unseen Aspects of the G. I. Katsigras Collection
Artworks from notable representatives of Greek modern art, such as Agenor Asteriadis, Konstantinos Maleas, Nikiforos Lytras, Theofrastos Triantafyllidis and Tassos, are “re-introduced” through a multi-sensory approach that enriches the museum experience for all audience groups.
Off Stream, in collaboration with the Municipal Gallery of Larissa, invites you to explore selected artworks from the gallery’s permanent collection and discover their “unseen aspects” by activating other senses beyond sight, such as touch and hearing.
Each stage of the project was implemented with the valuable guidance of the orientation/mobility & daily living skills Instructors from the Center for Education and Rehabilitation for the Blind, Thessaloniki’s Branch and the accessibility team consisting of persons with visual impairment specialised in inclusion.
The project was implemented by the Municipal Gallery of Larissa in collaboration with Off Stream under the auspices and with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
