Meeting Points: Studios Edition

What happens when the studio opens, the creative process is shared, and art becomes a reason to meet?

Poster and program of Meeting Points Studios Edition 2026

Off Stream’s Meeting Points project returns in 2026 with a new edition and moves to the place where art is created, inside artists’ studios. A space of creative expression and experimentation.

From March to April 2026, five artists in Thessaloniki and Athens opened their studios to become “meeting points” of inclusion and co-creation. Dimitris Ameladiotis, Giorgos Gerontides, Loxandra LLoxy Lucas, Marina Velisioti and Argiris Rallias welcomed us into their studios to get to know them and their work up close.

Through a multisensory and participatory process, audiences with and without sensory impairments engaged with each artist’s practice, interacted with the works and collaboratively crafted their creative descriptions.

Each 75 minute event was equally addressed to adult participants with and without sensory impairments, including people with partial or total vision loss, Deaf and hard of hearing participants. Simultaneous interpretation in Greek Sign Language and tactile aids was provided throughout each session to ensure equal participation for all. All 5 events were conducted in Greek.

Meeting Point 01: Giorgos Gerontides

11 of March 2026, Thessaloniki

Giorgos Gerontides’ practice focuses on the relationship between human and non human beings, examining the ways in which nature is represented and commodified. Through installations, sculpture and participatory processes, he activates a critical dialogue around ecology, stereotypes and coexistence.

At the Meeting Point in Giorgos Gerontidis’ studio, we focused on the work “Department of Artificial Butterflies”, where participants with and without sensory impairments explored the artwork and the artist’s practice together through observation, tactile exploration and open discussion.

Meeting Point 02: Dimitris Ameladiotis

18 of March 2026, Thessaloniki

Dimitris Ameladiotis’ work unfolds as a process of transforming matter over time. Through assemblage sculpture, performances and site specific installations, he explores opposing pairs such as composition and decomposition, construction and deconstruction. Drawing on historical and anthropological research, he raises questions around tradition, gender, religion, disability and politics.

At the Meeting Point, we explored Dimitris Ameladiotis’ studio and personal space, became acquainted with his practice, engaged in discussion and collaboratively composed the creative description of his work “The Simple Inclination of Falls”.

Meeting Point 03: Argiris Rallias

1 of April 2026, Athens

Argiris Rallias’ practice explores the cultural weight of myths and the tension between truth and universally accepted falsehoods. Through sculptural installations in marble, wood, and metal, he transforms everyday objects into symbolic forms, activating materials as carriers of memory and collective identity.disability and politics.

At the Meeting Point in Argyris Rallias’ studio, we approached his work “The Last Dive” through different senses, engaged in discussion and learned more about his artistic practice.

Meeting Point 04: Marina Velisioti

5 of April 2026, Athens

Marina Velisiotis practice combines collage, sculpture and photography, with textiles and embroidery at its core, incorporating traditional techniques and historical references. She creates symbolic and dreamlike worlds where ancient architecture meets contemporary pop aesthetics.

At the Meeting Point in Marina Velisioti’s studio, through conversation with the artist and by engaging different senses, we explored her work “Suddenly There Is a Valley” as well as her broader artistic practice.

Meeting Point 05: LLOxy

22 of April 2026, Thessaloniki

LLoxy‘s work draws from an imaginary world inhabited by hybrid creatures, functioning as a reflection of her personal perspective. Through her practice, she invites audiences to renegotiate the notion of the “normal” and to discover beauty in the unconventional.

At the Meeting Point in LLoxy’s studio, we explored her work “Opera” through conversation, music and the activation of different senses, becoming for a moment part of her immersive artistic universe.

Meeting Points: Studios Edition expands the dialogue between audiences and contemporary artistic creation, strengthening equal access for people with sensory impairments and foregrounding inclusion as an active practice within the very space where art is produced.
