Konstantinos Koualiarella, Noisesongmaker, 2024, interactive installation, metal, screen, variable dimensions
Creative Audio Description
Konstantinos Koualiarella’s work “Noisesongmaker” is an interactive sound installation. It consists of metal rods, everyday objects, and a section of an old television monitor. The piece invites interaction in order to be activated, and functions in a hybrid way as a sound-producing “machine.” Visitors are invited to touch the inclined upper surface of the sculpture and, by playing with its peculiar strings, to generate sound.
Each contact with the work creates distinct sonic moments, visual and tactile stimuli that transform the experience into a sensory journey. The work highlights a process of re-signification and redefinition, where ordinary materials are transformed into something different, acquiring new meanings.
