Meeting Points at the online course of W-ICAD
14 January 2025, 17:00 CET (Online launch)
The methodology developed by Off Stream as part of the Meeting Points project (2023) for the participatory creation of creative descriptions of artworks is presented as a best practice in the free online training course of W-ICAD.
W-ICAD is an innovative project by the University of Westminster in London, in collaboration with the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, Watts Gallery, and the Artist Village.
W-ICAD provides museums with a unique tool for creating audio descriptions through co-creative discussions between individuals with or without visual impairments.
The free online training course consists of seven self-guided modules combining theory, practical exercises, videos, and interviews with experienced professionals in the field.
On Tuesday, January 14th, at 17:00 CET, the online launch of the training course will take place, featuring museum professionals already applying this methodology, with an opportunity for audience Q&A.
